Bradford College quartet celebrates national awards

Four students from Bradford College received prizes for their academic excellence this week at the ABDO awards ceremony

Four students from Bradford College were presented with national awards last week after they were recognised for their academic excellence.

Paula Nicholson, Lauren Blackadder, Caroline Hopley and Rachel Millbank all collected prizes at the Association of British Dispensing Optician (ABDO) awards ceremony, which was held at the picturesque Canterbury Cathedral.

Lecturer in ophthalmic dispensing at Bradford College, Dean Dunning, expressed his delight at seeing four Bradford students receiving recgonition for their hard work.

‘It is a huge achievement for four Bradford College students to receive national awards at this prestigious event,’ said Dunning.

The College will host an open day at the David Hockney Building on December 9 between 11am and 2pm for people wanting to find out more about studying ophthalmic dispensing at Bradford.
