Blackfin says it has created ‘the lightest polarised lenses in the world, with the visual quality of glass.’

The new Luminar model presents a thin polarising filter that has been integrated into the lens without the use of glue or adhesive film, preventing distortion and tension, said the company. An off-square navigator frame shape is adjoined by a flat bridge and top bar that produce clean lines at the top of the design. The polarised lenses are oleophobic, water repellent, scratch-resistant and anti-reflective.

Luminar also passes the most rigorous protective lenses test, being regarded as a high impact lens and is therefore ‘completely bulletproof’, said Blackfin.
