Chris Bennett races to Ride London finish line

Optician editor Chris Bennett has completed his summer sporting challenge after taking part in the Prudential Ride London 100 last weekend.

Bennett finished the hilly 100 mile course with a time of 5 hours and 23 minutes on the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.

‘Taking part was a fantastic experience and raising money for a deserving charity in Blind Veterans UK made it all worthwhile. It was very busy out on the road so there were some hold ups but I was still very happy with my time,’ he said.

Justgiving, the online charity organisation, says 20% of donations come in after the fundraising event, and Bennett is hoping to increase the total raised already at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Chris-Bennett15.
