Dr Andrew Bastawrous, TED fellow and CEO of Peek Vision, has been named as guest speaker at this year’s Optometry Tomorrow conference.
The news was announced after the College of Optometrists released its programme for the two-day event, which will be held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel from March 2018-19.
In addition to listening to Dr Bastawrous’ keynote speech, ‘Using public health principles, smartphone technology and innovative financing to radically increase access to eye care’, attendees will attend a series of lectures, seminars and workshops.
Other speakers include Kam Balaggan, who will present on VMT macular holes, Professor James Wolffsohn presenting on the DEWS II report, Dr Nicola Logan on myopia control and Dr Pearse Keane leading a seminar on binocular OCT.
Up to 15 CET points are available over the two days.
College members who book their tickets by Thursday 30 November can purchase a two-day ticket for £170 (full rate £340), or a one-day ticket for £120 (full rate £240).
