Her Royal Highness the Countess of Wessex attended the launch of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness’ (IAPB) Eye Health Heroes awards.
The new annual development programme has been started to support and celebrate young talent in the eye health sector by providing opportunities to connect across NGOs, corporations, clinical environments and the global eye health community.
The Countess joined a virtual meeting with previous winners to mark the launch of the awards. This year, the winners will be split into categories of leaders, change-makers and innovators. Winners in each category will be recognised at a ceremony in October.
