Covid safety award for independent

Butterfield Opticians in Carnforth has been recognised by Lancaster City Council for its commitment to creating a safe environment for patients.

The Hakim Group practice received a Lancaster Covid Safe Award, which was designed to reassure the public about businesses who have pandemic measures in place.

Butterfield Opticians has equipped all members of staff with personal protection equipment, ensured social distancing is possible and regularly sanitises frames and other touchpoints in the practice.

Dhiren Patel, practice manager at Butterfield Opticians, said: ‘Safety has always been our priority ever since lockdown was introduced, and I’m so pleased that all of the hard work the team has put in been recognised in this way.’
