Former Crosseyes Opticians franchisee is taking legal action against the company

A former Crosseyes Opticians franchisee is taking legal action against the company following the liquidation of his joint venture business.

New co-CEOs Amardip and Harpreet Kular, who have been in post since April 2017, confirmed the news to Optician exclusively.

Harpreet Kular said: ‘We are in legal discussions with one of our former franchisees at the moment and therefore it is not appropriate to comment on them or the situation in detail.

‘We have come in as new CEOs and made significant changes to the business. Some franchisees have resisted this change and the transparency of information and partnership approach now required, while others have embraced it and are keen to grow with us.

‘While we acknowledge that we did inherit concerns, many of these have already been addressed. There are 13 Crosseyes locations in the UK with another seven openings planned. We have ambitious plans and can only do this with professionalism, transparent processes and good governance.’
