Cubitts cloth supports Guide Dogs for the Blind Association

A cleaning cloth designed by David Shrigley is being sold for charity

Proceeds from a cleaning cloth designed by artist and illustrator David Shrigley and sold by Cubitts will go towards the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Launched on Valentine’s Day, the limited-edition pink cloth is made from recycled plastic bottles and features Shrigley’s artwork, ‘I loved you from the first moment I saw you.’

Speaking about the partnership, Shrigley said: ‘I’m very happy to collaborate with Cubitts to help Guide Dogs. Many charities compete for our attention these days and sometimes the vital work that Guide Dogs does can be overlooked. This charity changes people’s lives and needs our support to continue.’

Cubitts has previously partnered with artists such as Tracy Emin and Camille Walala, raising over £20,000 for charity.

Tom Broughton, founder of Cubitts, said: ‘We like to celebrate everyday objects, whether that be your spectacles, or a quotidian cleaning cloth. It’s an honour they can be a receptacle for David’s work, of which we’ve long admired. I hope that each clean will bring a smidgen of joy into your life and raise money for a very worthwhile cause.’
