Consumption of hot tea could help reduce the incidence of glaucoma diagnosis
Research from the University of California published in the British Journal of Ophthalmology has indicated that consumption of hot tea could help reduce the incidence of glaucoma diagnosis.
In a study of 1,678 participants, consumption of caffeinated and decaffeinated, iced tea and soft drinks showed no effect on glaucoma incidence but those drinking at least one cup of hot tea per day showed a 74% reduction in the chance of developing the condition.
The cohort for the study was taken from the 2005-06 National health and Nutritional Examination Survey.
