David Clulow’s Wigmore Street practice has become the latest outlet to sport the smart new look being rolled about across the group.

Signage has taken on a modern cleaner sans-serif typeface with the trademark teal-coloured background going a few shades darker and the wording harking back to Clulow’s London heritage.

The interior has been opened up with darker wood and gold forming the internal wall and display structures. The frame displays have a showroom feel with pieces displayed in an ultra-accessible, yet deceptively dense, fashion.

Tray style wall displays are backed up by table top frame features which all benefit from well-designed task lighting. Further frame styles are housed in drawers below.

Flexible digital technology has been employed throughout the store to enable themed and flexible PoS graphics. Three well equipped consulting rooms have also been refitted and feature Topcon’s Maestro OCT, which will be offered to all patients at no extra cost.

Richard Peck, managing director of Luxottica Retail UK, said the Wigmore Street store had a special place in the group’s heart as it could trace its roots back to the original David Clulow Earl’s Court store a quarter of a century ago. ‘David Clulow is about service, quality and fashion and we have always tried to build stores that give that feel and attract people who value those things,’ he said.
