Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) has made a £5,000 donation to a charity that provides eye care to homeless people in London.

The donation will be used by Vision Care for Homeless People to fund the running costs of providing eye examinations at its Whitechapel centre, which is housed within the London Crisis centre.

'We are seeing an increased demand for our service since it was launched seven years ago, and are currently seeing around 400 people a year at this one clinic,' commented Harinder Paul, the charity's founder. 'We would desperately like to expand the service which we offer, and extend the days on which the clinic is currently open. This donation will cOGSertainly help us to do this,' he added.
