A donation of £250 from Carl Zeiss Vision has brought Optician’s latest fundraising venture for Blind Veterans UK to a close and taken the total over £1,500.
Over the weekend of September 16/17 Optician editor Chris Bennett and CooperVision’s Paul Maxwell cycled for 24 hours around the Brands Hatch motor racing circuit in Kent. The gruelling event, in poor weather conditions, around a hilly course saw the duo both ride 428km and climb over 5,000m in 24 hours.
Optician would like to thank all of those who donated to the cause including Adaro, Verve, Hoya, Rodenstock, Specsavers, Grafton, Scope, Martin Smith Opticians and the many CooperVision staff who dug deep to gee Maxwell on.
