Essilor: Extra personalisation

Essilor has introduced extra lens personalisation to its Varilux Comfort Max

Essilor has introduced extra lens personalisation to its Varilux Comfort Max by allowing entry-range patients to incorporate frame fitting measurements into their purchase.

The company said Varilux Comfort Max f-360˚ would allow practitioners to dispense a lens optimised to a patient’s chosen frame and provide a more personalised in-practice experience.

The Varilux Comfort Max lens was developed using simulations to mathematically model real-life visual tasks to refine the design, said Essilor. Accordingly, it was said to increase the useful vision zone of the lens by up to 46% and provide patients with increased comfort.

Essilor’s managing director, Tim Precious, added: ‘Personalisation is a major area of opportunity for opticians right now.’
