Commitment to Commonwealth

Essilor has committed to the expansion of business and philanthropic programmes to address the unmet vision needs of the 900m people living in the Commonwealth.

The company’s pledge will be made in partnership through the $1bn Vision Catalyst Fund, a new initiative under development by the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, civil society and public-private stakeholders. The fund’s objective is to provide sustainable solutions for eye health to entire populations in Commonwealth countries and around the world.

Nearly 230m people living below the poverty line will be provided with free ophthalmic lenses by 2030.
