Essilor partners with AI firm

OrCam Technologies has signed an agreement with Essilor to provide low vision technology to its customers.

The AI vision specialist is the producer of the OrCam MyEye 2, which uses artificial intelligence to read printed text as well as recognise faces, products and colours. Essilor will be providing the technology to its independent opticians in the UK and Ireland.

Director for Essilor Instruments UK, Paul Cumber said: ‘We are really excited to be working in partnership with OrCam to bring this cutting-edge assistive technology to independent eye care professionals across the UK and Ireland.’
