Essilor announced its three-tier marketing strategy for the Varilux brand, including CPD training, a new 12-month total satisfaction guarantee scheme and marketing content.

Training will be held for eye care professionals (ECPs) for a week, starting November 14, on varifocal lens prescribing and dispensing. Among sessions, the Association of British Dispensing Opticians college principal, Dr Robert Cubbidge will be sharing tips on the science of accurate PPL refraction, while health psychologist Dr Fiona Fylan will provide patient communication best practices.

Charlotte Timbury, Varilux product and category manager at EssilorLuxottica in North Europe, said: ‘Our combined approach for Varilux this winter will not only help increase ECP awareness of the brand, but also strive to boost awareness of the ECP locally and maximise awareness of the Varilux brand in practice.’

Lectures will be streamed live via Leonardo, Essilor’s new learning platform.
