Events fair inspires future generation of ECPs

Specsavers spoke to young people at a career fair in Birmingham

Practice teams from Specsavers spoke to young people about careers in eye and hearing care at the Big Bang Fair in Birmingham on June 22-24.

The multiple exhibited at the science, technology, engineering and mathematics careers event and hosted interactive sessions with 11-14 year olds.

Lucy Knock, early careers manager for clinical services at Specsavers, said: ‘The feedback received over the three days was overwhelmingly positive - students, teachers and parents loved the having the chance to talk to our expert clinicians and to hear more about how they can change lives by working in this dynamic industry.

'They enjoyed the powerful demonstrations given of the impact optometrists and audiologists have on patients who are living with conditions like glaucoma or hearing loss.’
