Specsavers has shared advice to prevent eye strain

Specsavers has shared advice to prevent eye strain as people have spent longer looking at screens during the coronavirus pandemic.

The multiple’s research found a spike in eye strain during Covid-19 because of changes to people’s lifestyles, such as increased laptop use and relaxing in front of the TV.

Giles Edmonds, clinical services director at Specsavers, said: ‘We are focusing our eye health advice campaign on tips to prevent eye strain and irritation with some simple tips.’

Advice included following the 20:20:20 rule, monitoring children’s screen time, reducing glare on computer screens and staying hydrated.
