Magnifying glasses aim to make the process of applying makeup easier

A new pair of magnifying glasses aim to make the process of applying makeup easier.

Flipzees feature a double nose bridge design that allows them to be worn upside down, which gives wearers complete access to the whole eye area. The 360 degree rotating lens comes in four different magnifying strengths depending on the need of the user and the frame is slim and lightweight in order to not get in the way of brushes, wands and pencils.

Founders Donna and Andrea Keniston created the glasses with women over 40 in mind after experiencing their own challenges, due to a study by Manchester University and Bausch+Lomb that revealed that nearly 25% of women over the age of 40 had trouble applying makeup because of presbyopia.

‘It’s all very well keeping up with makeup trends and trying out new products, but we both found that when we were at home in front of the mirror our reading glasses were always getting in the way,’ said Andrea Keniston. ‘We knew that there would be millions of women who would benefit from Flipzees. Who wouldn’t want to have a shorter and more polished makeup routine after all?’
