FMO has announced the launch of Optrafair, taking place on March 30-April 1, 2019 at Birmingham NEC.
Renamed as Optrafair Exchange, next year’s event has widened its reach to include fashion, medicalisation and optics, in which there will be new exhibitors and dedicated CET streams. The education programme has been restructured too, with streams in dispensing, contact lenses, orthoptic, refractive, health and lifestyle, technician, clinical optometry and business.
Andy Yorke, FMO chairman, said: ‘The modern optician needs to diversify and invest, push the boundaries and explore new opportunities. Find out how you can increase footfall, balance clinical services with retail fashion, break through barriers to distributed care, discover new revenue streams to grow your practice and network with allied professionals and ophthalmologists to forge new patient pathways.’
Ed Wyre, event director, said: ‘The new approach to CET at Optrafair will ensure there is plenty on offer for the whole practice team yet increasing dwell time on the show floor to browse the latest technology and solutions offered by our exhibitors.’
