Staff from Specsavers and RNIB raise more than £15,000

Optical professionals from Specsavers and staff from the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) have raised more than £15,000 for the vision charity.

The group fundraised for RNIB by completing a skydive out of a plane at the start of National Eye Health Week, which took place on September 24-30 this year. Kimberly Logan, pictured left, a trainee dispensing optician at Specsavers, was one of the first to jump out of the plane.

She said: ‘Thank you to everyone who helped in raising awareness for the RNIB. I’ve been so lucky to have so much support from friends, family and customers of Specsavers Alloa. I couldn’t have asked for a better turnout, everything went so well, and it even stayed dry. It was a lovely day thanks to Skydive St Andrews, fellow fundraisers and Angela Preston from RNIB who very kindly helped to document the Big Jump.’
