Glaskar Hub launches education event

The first Glaskar Hub meeting for independent opticians was held by Positive Impact on October 11.

Given the theme ‘See You Again Soon’, the free education event took place at Regent’s University London and attracted 20 independent practitioners.

Dispensing optician Dan Scott was a guest speaker and spoke about improving customer service and increasing patient loyalty and retention.

Nick Atkins, Positive Impact’s director of marketing and professional services, said: ‘We are very pleased with the inaugural event. While it’s principally an initiative for customers of Glaskar, the customer loyalty concept driven by our refillable lens cleaner, it was also nice to see a few potential customers interested enough in the concept of the forum to take time out of their practice to attend. The feedback has been extremely positive with attendees saying they found the content very interesting and thought-provoking.’
