Possibilities in the third dimension

Gotti’s dimension shades are successful experiment in using 3D printing

Inspired by geometry and topography, Gotti’s dimension shades are a successful experiment in using 3D printing. The use of laser sintering means the frames exhibit new textural qualities.

The combination of visual and tactile effects creates a sense of depth in the matte hues of the frame, the shape of which is highlighted by the surrounding design.

The 3D design process enables the development of structures previously unattainable with older technologies. And the precision in which the design is realised, using an accurate laser cutter, accentuates all aspects of the frame.

The result is an incredibly flexible and light-weight material, featuring a semi-matte finish and a new dimension of design. Colours available range from light sand and grey tones to deeper hues of blue and violet.
