Four awards were handed out by Haine and Smith Opticians as the company recognised valued staff members for their ‘outstanding contribution to the success of the business’ in 2017.
The Wiltshire regional chain named its Royal Wootton Bassett branch as the Top Performing Practice of the Year for 2017. Impressed with the team’s efforts, general manager Gary Walters, said: ‘Royal Wootton Bassett won this award for outstanding and consistent performance over a long period. High standards of patient care and satisfaction were achieved in all areas.’
Meanwhile, Emily Taylor-Moncrieff from the company’s Swindon practice was crowned Top Optical Advisor of the Year. Company partner Gary Walters visited the Regent Street practice to hand over the gong, which was awarded in memory of Rupert Smith, son of senior partner Barry Smith.
Top Employee of the Year was presented to Claire Barsby, who was praised for her efforts in developing the company’s Amesbury practice. Barsby’s willingness to ‘travel all over the region’ to help other practices was also highlighted by judges.
Finally, a special award was given to Zoie Izatt who splits her time between working as a training manager and in the operations department. Walters said: ‘Zoie’s Special Award is for being one of the key players; putting in extra hours, resulting in the smooth and successful integration of S.J. Hussy Opticians into the Haine and Smith Partnership.’
