Hakim campaign donates £10,000 to Bolton hospital

Hakim Group’s Stronger Together initiative has donated £10,000 to the Royal Bolton Hospital’s maternity unit in appreciation of their work during the pandemic.

The money will be used to create rest facilities for staff, allowing for socially-distanced breaks and creating space for colleagues to provide wellbeing support to each other.

Imran Hakim, CEO of the Hakim Group, explained the donation was made to the hospital as he was born in Bolton and the group’s headquarters are nearby.

‘Over the recent months that have been full of turmoil for everyone, as opticians we have been fortunate in being able to take active steps to help the NHS by taking over some of the eye related pressures. This has helped to free up hospital staff to focus on the surge of patients during the recent past.
