Edinburgh-based Hemp Eyewear has paid homage to its heritage tartan fabric design by using cut-offs from the kilt-making industry.

Colour options include a traditional red MacDonald Clan Modern and a Celtic green Irish National. The frame material was made using a sustainable process, which moulds together organic hemp fibres with tartan fabric, and then cuts the frame shape using rotary tools and polishes with a combination of grape oil and stone powder.

There are three styles, which are named after mythical creatures of Scottish folklore; Nessie, Wulver and Kelpie.
