In-person symposium announced

The return of independent practice focused business symposium iDay has been announced

The return of independent practice focused business symposium iDay has been announced following a two-year hiatus for the event.

Event organisers Proven Track Record explained that iDay21 would take place as a face-to-face event at Birmingham’s National Motorcycle Museum on July 4.

Proven Track Record’s director, Nick Atkins, said: ‘Despite the current national situation, we are confident that with the vaccination programme in full swing, the appropriate hygiene protocols and the arrival of Summer, we can safely run one of the first face-to-face conferences of 2021.’

US optometrist and entrepreneur Dr Gary Gerber has been booked as the event’s keynote speaker, with his address set to focus on the business of myopia progression management.

Atkins added that the event would focus on supporting business success rather than clinical success, owing to the impact of the pandemic: ‘As always the exhibition will be integral in bringing independent supporting suppliers together with their customer base.’

Proven Track Record said that bookings would be available from early spring.
