​Hampshire-based optometrist Jagdip Dhariwal has been suspended for six months

Hampshire-based optometrist Jagdip Dhariwal has been suspended from the General Optical Council’s register for six months after a committee found his fitness to practise impaired by reason of misconduct.

The case relates to Dhariwal failing to declare his conviction of indecent exposure to the GOC over the course of several years.

Dhariwal was convicted on October 22 1998 at Southampton Magistrates Court of indecent exposure to the annoyance of residents. He stated on numerous GOC application for retention forms that he had not been convicted of a criminal offence.
