Insight Optical Training adds OA qualifications to offering

Insight Optical Training has received approval to provide courses for optical assistants

Insight Optical Training has received approval to offer a new range of qualifications for optical assistants after also receiving centre approval from the awarding body NCFE.

New qualifications include level two and three certificates and diplomas in supporting optical practice, as well as level five and seven certificates in supporting the provision of optical care.

All the qualifications are available via online distance learning courses and are available to start at any time of the year. The assessment will be continuous during the programme rather than at the end of the course.

Anthony Blackman, co-founder and director of training at Insight Optical Training, said: ‘We are delighted to be able to offer support staff working in optical practices or the hospital eye service the opportunity to start a career in optics. Having NCFE’s endorsement means that both employers and learners can be confident in the qualifications.’
