Inspecs acquires German distributor

Inspecs Group has acquired BoDe Design Vertiebs, a German-based distributor, of which it is currently the largest supplier to.

The company paid €1.76m upfront for BoDe as well as a deferred cash consideration based on financial performance over the next three financial years.

Robin Totterman, CEO of Inspecs, said: ‘This acquisition continues our strategy of developing strategic distribution of our products to both chain and independent opticians around the world.

BoDe distributes frames in Germany as well as other European markets such as Holland, Austria and Switzerland, and was expected to generate revenues of €3.75m in 2021.
