Interactive eye test for World Glaucoma Awareness Week

IGA and Santen Pharmaceutical create interactive glaucoma eye test

The International Glaucoma Association (IGA) and Santen Pharmaceutical have created an interactive eye test to demonstrate what vision is like with glaucoma.

The test has been created as part of a campaign to raise awareness of the eye condition and will take place during World Glaucoma Awareness Week between March 10-16. It will be posted on IGA and Santen’s social media channels and will include images that simulate missing objects and cloudy vision.

Karen Osborn, CEO of the IGA said: ‘By reaching younger people via their social channels in a visually impactful way, we hope to create a lasting impression of what glaucoma sight loss looks like, so they can be aware of early symptoms among older relatives and can encourage regular eye checks to pick up the condition early.’
