An agreement with lens developer IOT Lenses will help the optics community
The International Optical Association (IOA) has signed an agreement with lens developer IOT Lenses to elevate its professional community through increased access to expert knowledge on lens design.
Fiona Anderson, the IOA’s president, said: ‘As an optician it can be all too easy to dispense lenses without thinking about the design behind them. As the IOA works with IOT, we look forward to really being able to make the most of IOT content and education on lens design, allowing all IOA members to upskill, to develop their knowledge and to offer a better service to patients.’
Anderson emphasised that IOT’s experience in research and innovation of digital ophthalmic lenses has enabled eye care practitioners to offer tailored solutions.
