Johnson & Johnson Vision has appointed Dr Rajesh Rajpal as chief medical officer and global head of clinical and medical affairs.
Dr Rajpal will lead on integrating clinical insights into product development, as well as oversee clinical trials and liaise with government agencies and the academic, scientific and industry communities.
‘I am looking forward to guiding and contributing to the continued development of leading-edge products and technology that clinicians, who are my peers, can use to provide the highest level of care to patients globally,’ Dr Rajpal said.
Dr Rajpal has over 25 years of experience as an ophthalmologist, specialising is cataract surgery, cornea disease, anterior segment surgery, Lasik and refractive surgery. He also has an interest in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular surface conditions.
