Dr Scott Mackie has received the Fellowship by portfolio accolade
Optometrist Dr Scott Mackie has received the Fellowship by portfolio accolade, the highest qualification awarded by the College of Optometrists.
Mackie was co-founder of Lanarkshire-based Mackie Opticians, a member of the General Optical Council and a Fellowship assessor for the College.
’I am honoured to accept Fellowship from the College as assessed by my peers,’ he said.
As an assessor for the College, Mackie noted an increase in applications during the pandemic as practitioners reflect on their careers.
There are currently 78 fellows listed on the College website and Mackie encouraged any registrants to consider applying if they meet the criteria.
