Marcolin makes eco-pledge

Italian eyewear giant Marcolin has announced a three-year partnership with Treedom to promote tree planting.
The partnership has been entered alongside Timberland Eyewear, a part of Marcolin’s portfolio since 2003. The companies have committed to planting 50 million trees around the world by 2025 and have already begun planting the Timberland Forest in Ghana as part of the Great Green Wall project.
Treedom was founded in Florence, Italy, in 2010 and has planted two million trees with the help of farmers around the world.
The company was awarded a Certified B Corporation accreditation by B Lab in 2014 based on it meeting the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance.
