Medisoft and Heidelberg release data management platform

Sister companies Medisoft and Heidelberg Engineering have joined forces to launch the newest version of their data management platform.

Known as mediSIGHT, it was first demonstrated at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists’ Annual Congress in Liverpool, and has been endorsed by more than 5,000 users of Medisoft’s software worldwide.

MediSIGHT has new features for medical retina, vitreoretinal and cataract surgeons, showcasing the benefits of using Heidelberg’s Spectralis for image capture, and it integrates with other ophthalmic devices via the HEYEX 2 image management system. This allowed clinical teams to see a picture of a patient’s entire ophthalmic history all on one screen, a statement said.
