Moorfields and UCLH scoop data quality award

Moorfields Eye Hospital and UCLH win award for data quality for the second year

Moorfields Eye Hospital and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) have won the award for data quality in clinical coding for the second year in a row at the CHKS Top Hospital Awards.

The trust was shortlisted due to the data it submits to NHS Digital and a range of data quality indicators. The UCLH clinical coding team support the data.

Ranjita Sen, head of performance and information at Moorfields, said: ‘We were competing with some fantastic, high profile organisations so to be acknowledged as leaders in the field of clinical coding is a really proud moment for us. We’ve been working extremely hard over the past few years to improve data quality throughout the trust, so we can provide the best care for our patients across the Moorfields network and help research through high quality diagnostic information.’
