Menicon has launched a multifocal calculator to enable eye care practitioners to improve the success rate of first time fitting and increase customer loyalty.

Designed for Menicon’s Miru monthly contact lenses, the digital calculator, pictured below, was made available on the company’s website and was designed to make fitting simpler.

Andrew Ferguson, sales manager for Menicon UK’s frequent replacement division, said: ‘Our new multifocal calculator produces an instant starting point result, increasing the chances of the patient being fitted with the optimal lens for their particular needs.

‘This approach, together with the lens’ innovative Hi-Add design with a decentred near zone, is likely to produce high levels of patient satisfaction. This in turn will increase their loyalty to the practice.’
