Mykita's Munich store opens

The iIndependent German eyewear designer has opened its newest store

Independent German eyewear designer and manufacturer, Mykita, has opened its newest store in Munich.

The new premises is a heritage-listed corner building previously used as a gallery space and is close to Maximilianstrasse, Munich’s high-end shopping district.

Mykita’s founder, Moritz Krueger, said: ‘To open in this stunning and strategically important location confirms how much we have achieved over the last decade and a half.’

The new store has been opened in partnership with high end Munich-based optician, Leidmann.

Munich-based architectural firm Stephanie Thatenhorst collaborated with Mykita on the new location’s interior design, creating a feeling of grandeur through oversized arched windows and doorways, marble surfaces and custom furniture. Frames are presented on an all-white wall, a modern design element that contrasts with the classical setting.
