​A clinical trial found that Essilor’s Stellest lens slows myopia progression

A two-year clinical trial has demonstrated that Essilor’s Stellest lens slows down myopia progression by 67% when worn for at least 12 hours a day.

The trial was conducted on 167 myopic children in Wenzhou Medical University in China and found that after two years of wearing Stellest lenses the participants experienced 0.99 diopters less of myopia degree when compared to single vision lenses.

Nobert Gorny, co-chief operating officer at Essilor International, said: ‘With such impressive results, Essilor’s Stellest lenses will truly be a catalyst to stem myopia progression and to help children’.
