Every Optical Express will soon have a Zeiss Cirrus device
Optical Express has announced its plan to invest a further £5m in optical coherence tomography (OCT) scan equipment.
The move would see every Optical Express practice in the country fit with Zeiss’ Cirrus OCT machines.
‘It’s great news for patients that this world leading technology will now be accessible in our clinics throughout the UK and Ireland,’ explained the company’s clinical services director, Stephen Hannan.
Hannan added that the increased capacity for community screening that the new OCT machines could be used to help alleviate pressures on NHS ophthalmology departments.
