New CEO and creative director for Cazal Eyewear

Designer Katharina Schlager will take over the management of Cazal Eyewear in January 2020 and will become its new CEO and creative director.

Previous managing director Beate Obersteiner will be retiring at the end of this year but will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity. Klaus Lippert, who has been the general director since 2015, will continue to be responsible for finance and operations.

Schlager said: ‘Corners and edges have always fascinated me because they give rise to something special. And Cazal is special. Hardly any other brand has produced such extraordinary designs. For me it feels like the second great love. A love that you consciously perceive and are ready for.’
