Locsu has published new eye health pathways, which the organisation said had the potential to transform the delivery of eye health service.
Part of a ‘root and branch upgrade,’ the new pathways will support out-of-hospital care and will promote a whole-systems approach to service delivery and pathway redesign.
Locsu has already started to publish refreshed pathway diagrams and documents. These will culminate in the publication of a framework document describing a primary eye care pathway, and all interconnecting clinical pathways, to support a system of change.
Due to be published this summer, the overarching blueprint document will include children’s vision, low vision and enhanced services for people with learning disabilities and dementia.
