Essilor Instruments adds new edger to its portfolio

Essilor Instruments’ latest addition its product portfolio is the Pro-E 600 edger, a desktop unit designed for high volume ophthalmic labs and large practices or groups.

Improvements to all processes across all cycles has increased the edger’s productivity by an average of 40-50% over other tabletop units, said Essilor.

The unit was said to process complex jobs intuitively. Bevel, mini-bevel, asymmetric and step bevel, groove, mix, drill, chamfer and polish can all be carried out by the Pro-E 600.

The edger requires no vacuum or compressed air and includes an intuitive interface that makes it immediately operational. Connectivity includes laboratory management software (ISO 16284) and is connectable to Essilor tracer-blockers and Essibox.

‘Eighteen months of field testing have driven the engineering process to deliver a highly productive, versatile and robust product tested and designed with ECPs and labs for optimised reliability and accuracy which make Pro-E 600 edger a smart investment for all volume labs,’ said Paul Cumber, head of Essilor Instruments UK.
