The company is in discussions to sell the business

Norville Group has confirmed that it is in discussions to sell the business amid rumours about the Gloucester-based company’s future.

A statement from the company published in the Raikes Journal said that it is not in receivership nor administration but is in discussions for the sale of the business.

‘The boards are in discussions with parties interested in acquiring the businesses as going concerns. Those discussions are ongoing and confidential and we are unable to comment further at this time,’ the statement said.

Norville is an independent family owned business that has supplied ophthalmic lenses for over 60 years and its eyewear brands include Barbour, Dana Buchman and Racing Green. As well as its Gloucester headquarters, it has laboratories in Bolton, Edinburgh and Seaham.
