Nystagmus stories shared

Nystagmus Awareness Day took place on June 20

Nystagmus Awareness Day took place on June 20 and shared information about the condition to create a greater understanding on how it affects quality of life.

Organising charity the Nystagmus Network has shared stories of people living with nystagmus who have achieved great things in order to bring hope and comfort to families affected by the condition.

Other initiatives include a photography competition that were judged by David Katz, a photographer who lives with visual impairment.

Sue Ricketts, information and development manager at the Nystagmus Network, said: ‘Holding a national and international Nystagmus Awareness Day serves as a reminder to everyone that the nystagmus community is here and their voices need to be heard.’
