Louis Stone (Optical) has introduced the Oculus UB 6 trial frame - the first ever six lens variant of this 'godfather' of refraction equipment.
The Oculus UB 6 has four front slots and two back slots housed in its universal trial frame. Louis Stone claimed the UB 6 has a revolutionary design which helps subjective lens determination through an ergonomic and well designed frame.
The unit is also simple for the patient to handle and comfortable, it claimed. The nose piece is anatomically designed with free spares provided, the ear pieces are flexible and shaped for comfort and the unit weighs 60.2g.
Pupillary adjustments can be made from 46mm to 80mm and the arm length can be varied from between 92mm and 130mm.The UB 6 has a new linear guide system for greater accuracy of PD adjustment. Ease of use for the practitioner is aided by a large thumbwheel for inclination adjustment and high contrast measurement scale divisions, in robust aluminium, in 2.5 degree steps. The Oculus UB 6 is compatible with the two trial sets, reduced and full aperture, supplied by Louis Stone. An optional extra is a polarising filter in circular or linear versions which is held in place using clips.
Louis Stone is offering a special introductory price on the unit until the end of the year.
