The ophthalmology group has been acquired by H2 Equity Partners
An agreement has been reached that would see H2 Equity Partners acquire ophthalmology group Optegra in early 2021 after regulatory conditions have been met.
Optegra has 23 eye hospitals in the UK, Czech Republic and Poland where it provides cataract and age-related macular degeneration surgeries, as well as other vision correction services.
Its surgeons and clinical teams provide eye care to NHS and self-pay patients at facilities that have the capacity to support growth in the future, Optegra said.
CEO Dr Peter Byloos would lead Optegra’s management team in working with H2 to deliver an ‘ambitious growth strategy’ and ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered.
