Exhibition welcomes 1,300 exhibitors from across the globe

Mido closed the doors on its 48th show last weekend where seven pavilions played host to more than 1,300 exhibitors from across the globe.

Over 58,000 visitors flocked through the doors despite the unseasonal blast of cold weather sweeping in from Siberia. All sectors of the optical business were represented from haute couture fashion to production equipment.

This year’s Mido also featured the first Eye Health Awareness Day where international experts gathered to present their case. Delegates included the Italian health minister and a representative from the World Health Organisation. Reports from the show and all the latest trends will be featured in Optician over the coming weeks.
