An apprenticeship scheme run by Vision Express will be featured in a new ITN Productions skills-based learning programme.
The scheme will be showcased in the Learning for Life programme, introduced by newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky. The television show was unveiled at the Association of Colleges annual conference and will feature industry interviews, news reports and sponsored editorial profiles of apprentice success stories.
Matt Burton, Vision Express’ head of learning and development, said: ‘There’s a cast iron business case for us recruiting and developing apprentices, and that’s why we’ve invested in expanding the programme with our advanced Level 3 pathway in addition to our Level 2 apprenticeship in optical retail. We can provide great opportunities that most retail businesses would struggle to replicate and we’re proud to have an environment that cultivates fresh thinking, with support for candidates on every step of their journey.’
Kate Glasby, human resources director, added: ‘Taking part in this programme is a great example of our continued passion for apprenticeships as a critical talent pipeline for our business.’
